NC wins ward 14 in Dharan Sub-metropolis

DHARAN, July 7: Nepali Congress (NC) has won the local elections with an entire panel in ward no. 14 of Dharan Sub-metropolitan City.

DHARAN, July 7: Nepali Congress (NC) has won the local elections with an entire panel in ward no. 14 of Dharan Sub-metropolitan City.


NC candidate Krishna Bhattarai has been elected as the ward chair of Dharan Sub-metropolitan City-14.


Bhattarai secured 1, 017 votes to wint the elections while his closest rival of CPN-UML Jhalak Bahadur Shrestha got 565 votes.

Similarly, those winning as ward members are Shova Pulami Rai, Manisha BK, Manjil Kasaju and Sita Paudel.


Among the total 20, results of only 10 wards have come out so far. NC has won four wards (1, 2, 5, and 14) while UML six wards so far.


CPN (Maoist Center) has not won any seats.


The results of wards 9 and 10 have been stalled due to vote-related dispute.
