KATHMANDU, July 23: Nepal's COVID-19 death toll has risen to 43 on Thursday, the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) confirmed.
According to Dr Jageshwar Gautam, the spokesperson for the MoHP, a 70-year-old man from Maisthan, Birgunj, succumbed to the coronavirus infection on Wednesday. He was admitted to the Narayani Hospital, Birgunj, after having breathing difficulties and was undergoing treatment at the isolation center. His swab samples were collected after his death, which came positive earlier today.
With 323 new cases, Nepal's COVID-19 tally reaches 4085
The ministry also confirmed 147 new cases of COVID-19 across the nation. Meanwhile, 156 patients of COVID-19 have recovered from this fatal disease in the past 24 hours.
