KATHMANDU, Feb 23: Nepal recorded 312 new cases of COVID-19 along with 911 recoveries and two deaths from the deadly virus on Wednesday, according to the information released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 8,693 samples were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, 256 PCR and 56 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the deadly virus.

There are currently 10,214 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 9,763 are in self-isolation, 327 in institutional isolation, 105 in ICU’s and 19 on ventilators. Similarly, 107 are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,930 people have died from the virus across the country.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 87 cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 67 cases were recorded in Kathmandu, 10 in Bhaktapur and 10 in Lalitpur districts.
