Nepal records 55 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday

KATHMANDU, May 2: The government has confirmed 55 new cases of Covid-19 and 53 recoveries on Tuesday. The latest bulletin issued by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) says that 55 people were infected with the virus in the last 24 hours.

KATHMANDU, May 2: The government has confirmed 55 new cases of Covid-19 and 53 recoveries on Tuesday. The latest bulletin issued by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) says that 55 people were infected with the virus in the last 24 hours.


According to the MoHP, 1,718 swab samples were tested during this period. Among them, 22 people out of 180 tested positive for the virus through PCR test while 33 people were found to be infected with Covid-19 out of 1538 people through antigen tests. As a result, there were a total of 55 people who tested positive for the virus.

Similarly, the number of active cases of coronavirus has reached 252, while 25 people are in isolation and 11 in ICUs.


With the increase in infection rate, MoHP has asked everyone to administer booster doses against Covid-19.
