Nepal records 6,085 new cases, 6,898 recoveries and 68 deaths on Tuesday

KATHMANDU, June 1: Nepal recorded 6,085 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday. With this, Nepal’s active COVID-19 case tally stands at 104,789.

KATHMANDU, June 1: Nepal recorded 6,085 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday. With this, Nepal’s active COVID-19 case tally stands at 104,789.


According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), as many as 20,165 COVID-19 tests were conducted on Tuesday.

Similarly, the health ministry has also confirmed 68 cases of fatalities linked with COVID-19 on Tuesday along with 6,898 recoveries. So far, 454,344 people have survived COVID-19 while 7,454 have died of the disease across the country.


Of the 104,789 active cases across the country, 97,704 are in home isolation, 7,085 in institutional isolation, 1,491 in ICUs and 404 are on ventilators.


Likewise, Kathmandu district recorded the highest of 1,080 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday followed by Lalitpur with 283 new cases. Bhaktapur district recorded 215 new cases.


As many as 16 districts recorded more than 100 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday.
