Nepal’s death tally reaches 10,485 with 30 new deaths recorded on Saturday

KATHMANDU, August 21: Nepal recorded 2,075 cases of COVID-19 on Saturday along with 2,382 recoveries and 30 deaths, according to the latest information provided by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).

KATHMANDU, August 21: Nepal recorded 2,075 cases of COVID-19 on Saturday along with 2,382 recoveries and 30 deaths, according to the latest information provided by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP). With this, Nepal’s death tally has reached 10,485.


As many as 13,075 COVID-19 tests were conducted on Saturday. Of them 1,424 PCR and 651 antigen tests turned out to be positive for COVID-19.

There are currently 36,015 people in home isolation, 3,306 in institutional isolation, 718 in ICU’s and 166 on ventilators. 


Likewise, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 667 cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 443 were recorded in Kathmandu, 103 in Lalitpur and 81 in Bhaktapur districts.
