KATHMANDU, April 30: Nepal recorded five new cases of COVID-19 along with 17 recoveries and zero death from the deadly virus on Saturday, according to the information released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
A total of 2,214 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, four PCR and one antigen tests turned out to be positive for the virus.

There are currently 231 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 224 are in self-isolation, six in institutional isolation, and one in ICU. Similarly, 106 people are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,951 people have died from the virus across the country.
Meanwhile, The Kathmandu valley recorded three cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, two cases were recorded in Kathmandu and one in Lalitpur districts.
