KATHMANDU, April 23: Nepal recorded 18 new cases of COVID-19 along with 17 recoveries and zero death from the deadly virus on Saturday, according to the information released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 4,947 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, 18 PCR tests turned out to be positive for the virus.

There are currently 283 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 218 are in self-isolation, and two in institutional isolation. Similarly, 106 people are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,951 people have died from the virus across the country.
Meanwhile, The Kathmandu valley recorded two cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, the two cases were recorded in Kathmandu.
