KATHMANDU, Jan 8: The South Korean government is making preparation to provide e-9 Visa service to migrant students.
The e-9 visa is a kind of visa provided to migrant workers coming to South Korea for manual labor after passing the Test in Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK) language under the Employment Permit System (EPS).
The Ministry for Employment and Labor of South Korea is looking forward to bringing the concept into effect within 2021.
Nepali workers in Korea to get visa extended for a year
Under the Employment Permit System (EPS), the South Korean government has been permitting e-9 visas of four years and 10 months to migrant workers. The workers had to return to their home country as their visas expired.
Nepali migrant workers in South Korea with e-9 visas are working in industrial and agricultural sectors.
