KATHMANDU, Dec 24: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Sunday plunged 21.03 points to close at 2,088.07 points.
According to NEPSE, the market opened at 2,109.10 points and went through a series of fluctuations and reached the day’s high at 2,132.64 points in the first one hour of trading. However, the market declined around 44 points in the remaining three trading hours before it closed for the day.

The sensitive index that measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies also declined 5.48 points. The daily turnover amount escalated to Rs 7.111 billion from Rs 6.274 billion on Thursday.
Four groups including non-life insurance, life insurance, ‘others’ and hydropower were the gainers. Of the losers, manufacturing and processing shed 169.38 points, the largest of all.
Among individual companies, 161 were recorded as losers whereas 79 companies were the gainers.
Shivam Cements Ltd had the largest transactions of its shares worth Rs 304.32 million. Jyoti Bikash Bank Bond 2087 lost the highest of 10 percent of its market value. Bottlers Nepal (Balaju) Limited was recorded as the largest gainer.
