KATHMANDU, June 9: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Sunday declined marginally by 4.59 points to close at 2,073.19 points.
The market opened at 2,077.78 points and reached 2,093.68 points in the opening session. However, the index fell throughout the trading period and hit the day’s low at 2,069.39 points in the last 10 minutes before the market closed for the day. In the remaining period, the market recovered around four points.

The sensitive index that measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies also declined 2.15 points. The daily turnover surged to Rs 5.18 billion from Rs 4.38 billion on Thursday.
Out of the five gainers, hotels and tourism added the highest of 155.09 points, which was followed by manufacturing and processing, hydropower, investment and ‘others.’ Of the eight losing groups, life insurance lost the largest of 69.66 points.
Among individual companies, 97 were recorded as gainers whereas 147 were the losers.
NRN Infrastructure and Development Limited had the largest turnover of its shares worth Rs 320.39 million. Buddha Bhumi Nepal Hydropower Company Limited was the topmost loser, while Eastern Hydropower Limited was recorded as the biggest gainer.
