New strategy needed to stop foreign employment fraud: Minister Shrestha

KATHMANDU, Dec 13: Minister for Labor, Employment and Social Security, Krishna Bahadur Shahi has said that vocational and skill development centers will be established in all seven provinces of the country.

KATHMANDU, Dec 13: Minister for Labor, Employment and Social Security, Krishna Bahadur Shahi has said that vocational and skill development centers will be established in all seven provinces of the country. 


Speaking at a program organized in Lalitpur on Monday, Minister Shrestha claimed that the development centers will be established in all provinces of the country to compete in the domestic and international labor markets as well as to create employment for the new labor force and enhance entrepreneurship in the country.

Stating that increasing productive employment opportunities can help improve and raise the economic standard of the people, Minister Shrestha said that the development centers will be established in all provinces and will be gradually taken to the local level. He said that the plan is to establish training centers in all provinces to compete in domestic and international labor markets, increase entrepreneurship growth and skilled manpower to resolve the issue of unemployment. 


Minister Shrestha also claimed that he will solve the problems seen in foreign employment and lay the foundation for creating employment in the country in his tenure. He opined that a different strategy is needed to control different kinds of fraud taking place in the foreign employment sector.
