President Bhandari to visit Mustang on Friday

KATHMANDU, Nov 3: President Bidya Devi Bhandari is said to visit Mustang on Friday. She will visit the famous religious place Muktinath and unveil the statue of Lord Buddha and lay the foundation stone of a statue of Lord Vishnu.

KATHMANDU, Nov 3: President Bidya Devi Bhandari is said to visit Mustang on Friday. She will visit the famous religious place Muktinath and unveil the statue of Lord Buddha and lay the foundation stone of a statue of Lord Vishnu.


Chief District Officer (CDO) of Mustang, Netra Prasad Sharma said that the President will arrive at Muktinath at 8AM on Friday. "The president will return the same day after attending the statue unveiling and the foundation stone laying ceremony," he said, "We are busy preparing for the president's visit."

It is said that the president will also inaugurate the 'Low Mustang Himalayan Resort' built at Ranipauwa in Muktinath. CDO Sharma said that the security and administrative arrangements have been tightened targeting the visit by the President. President Bhandari also visited Muktinath last year and visited the area.
