Seven COVID-19 patients died in Banke in past 24 hours

NEPALGUNJ, April 24: As many as seven people diagnosed  with  the novel coronavirus disease (Covid-19) died in Banke in the past 24 hours.


An infected person died while undergoing treatment at the Bheri Hospital this morning. The deceased has been identified as a 61-year-old man of Nepalgunj Sub-metropolis-10. He breathed his last at 1:21AM today, resource person at the COVID crisis management centre, Tej Oli said.

Others who died include a 71-year-old woman from Janaki Rural Municipality, a 28-year-old man and a 65-year-old man from Baijanath Rural Municipality in Banke, a 56-year-old man from Salyan and a 42-year-old man from Bardia.


Likewise, a 35-year-old man from Nepalgunj Sub-metropolis-8 and who was undergoing treatment at Bheri hospital also died on Friday night. This has taken the COVID-19 related death toll in Banke to 76.


In the last 24 hours, 250 people tested positive of 269 people who underwent tests for COVID-19 at Bheri Hospital, Oli said.
