Earlier, the Government of Nepal had committed to fulfill the demands of the campaigners; however, there has not been any progress in COVID-19 crisis management. So, Kiran Gurung and Samaira Shrestha, the members of the “Enough is Enough” Campaign, have initiated Satyagraha for the second time.
Independent groups of youths have been demonstrating and protesting in various cities of Nepal demanding an increase in the scope of the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) tests, proper health safety to frontliners and other improvements in COVID-19 crisis management.
“The government has paid no heed to these issues raised by the campaigners. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli will be responsible if anything happens to these youths and campaigners,” reads the statement.
