Shekhar-Gagan faction demands four candidates in national assembly election

KATHMANDU, Jan 7: The Shekhar Koirala-Gagan Thapa faction within the Nepali Congress is advocating for the inclusion of four candidates from their group in the upcoming National Assembly election.

KATHMANDU, Jan 7: The Shekhar Koirala-Gagan Thapa faction within the Nepali Congress is advocating for the inclusion of four candidates from their group in the upcoming National Assembly election.


During a party meeting on Sunday, Koirala and Thapa said that their faction should nominate candidates for four out of the ten seats secured by the party within the ruling coalition.

This matter is slated for discussion in the party's Central Work Performance Committee meeting scheduled for Sunday.
