BANKE, Nov 1: The police have arrested six people including a leader of Tarun Dal, the youth wing affiliated with the Nepali Congress, along with an automatic pistol and two magazines from Janaki rural municipality in Banke district.
A team led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Hem Bahadur Shahi from the area police office, Kohalpur on Thursday night raided Namaste Resort at Janaki rural municipality-6 and made the arrest.
Four Indians, two others held with firearms near border
The firearms were hidden in a false bottom in a Maruti Suzuki car (Ba 18 Cha 4211) parked to the east of the resort, said Shahi.
The arrestees include Sandip Jung Shah, Nepalgunj town president of Tarun Dal, Dinesh Shahi, Raghab Shah Sanu, Madhav Nepali, Jaya Bahadur Buda and Pritam Thapa Magar. Investigations are on in this connection, said police.
