Student, computer operator held for forging certificate

JAJARKOT, Sept 28: Police have rounded up two people - a student and a computer operator – on the charge of forging a fake educational certificate in the district.

JAJARKOT, Sept 28: Police have rounded up two people - a student and a computer operator – on the charge of forging a fake educational certificate in the district.


The arrested are Sunil Pariyar, student of Ramanand Secondary School based at Chhedgad Municipality and computer operator Tej Raj Bista of Bheri Computer Center.


Pariyar turned to Bheri Compute Center to produce a fake educational certificate after the District Administration Office rejected his original certificate since it was hard to decipher. He had gone to the DAO for his citizenship certificate.

When he produced the fake educational certificate at the DAO, police arrested him.


According to Indrajit Sunar, acting police chief, Pariyar had forged school principal’s certificate himself on the certificate.


Pariyar had urged the computer operator to create a new one in order to alter the date of birth in his certificate.


Pariyar and Bista may be sentenced to seven years in jail along with a fine of Rs 70,000 if they were found guilty in line with the new Muluki Code.
