JANAKPUR, May 20: A student was found dead this morning at a school in Janakpur Sub Metropolitan City.
16 – year –old, Dhirendra Sah, was found hanging at Mithila Montessori Boarding School at Bhanuchowk of Janakpur, police said.
The tenth grader, son of Rup Narayan Sah of Kuwarampur in Janakpur Sub Metropolis – 15, had been living in a hostel.
He was found hanging on a noose tied to grill at the hostel at night by his friends who immediately informed the school administration.
Dhanusha's Superintendent of Police (SP), Govinda Thapaliya, said the police have held an inquest and collected evidences from the incident site. The boy's body has been sent to the Janakpur Zonal Hospital for an autopsy.
Thapaliya added that the incident is being treated suspiciously. He said the authorities would determine if it is murder or suicide only after the arrival of post – mortem examination report.
