KATHMANDU, Jan 14: Three Nepali siblings- Mingma Sherpa, Chhang Dawa Sherpa, and Tashi Lakpa Sherpa, who left for Antarctica on December 13 last year in a bid to reach the South Pole and summit Mt Vinson have successfully fulfilled both their missions set at the continent. With this, the three sherpa brothers have become the first three siblings to ski to the South Pole and to ascend Mt Vinson (4892 meters) together.
The team had left for Doha from Kathmandu on December 13 with the Nepali national flag which was handed over to the team by Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.
