Two Nepali girls into tennis final

KATHMANDU, Sept 15: Two Nepali players Ira Rawat and Abhilasha Bista have advanced to the final of the girl’s singles of the ongoing ANLTA Asian Tour U-14 Ranking Tennis Tournament under circuit two on Thursday.

KATHMANDU, Sept 15: Two Nepali players Ira Rawat and Abhilasha Bista have advanced to the final of the girl’s singles of the ongoing ANLTA Asian Tour U-14 Ranking Tennis Tournament under circuit two on Thursday. 



In the semifinal matches held at Satdobato tennis court, Ira defeated Prerana Koirala 6-4, 7-6 while Abhilasha overcame Saloni Tamang 6-0, 6-0 to book their place in the final. 



Similarly in the boy’s singles section, Arnabh Pathange of India and Samyak Bhushan Bajracharya have advanced to the final. The winner of circuit one Arnabh beat Aadit Subedi and Nepali player Samyak overcame Aryan Giri with the scoreline of 6-0, 6-0 and 6-4, 6-4 respectively. 



The final matches of both boys and girls singles will be held on Friday. 



Similarly in the girls’ doubles, the pair comprising of Prerana Koirala and Laxanya Bishwanath defeated the pair of Ira Rawat and Abhilasha Bista 6-4, 11-9 to claim first position. 



Likewise in the boys’ doubles, the pair of Indian players Arnabh Pathange and Ambitious Goldsmith became champion beating the pair of Nepali players Saharsha Chand and Adit Subedi 6-1, 6-0 in the final.
