UML wins Kathekhola Rural Municipality chief

BAGLUNG, May 17: CPN-UML candidate Amar Thapa has been elected as chief and Arun Khatri of Rastriya Janamorcha (RJM) as deputy chief of Kathekhola Rural Municipality through left electoral alliance.

BAGLUNG, May 17: CPN-UML candidate Amar Thapa has been elected as chief and Arun Khatri of Rastriya Janamorcha (RJM) as deputy chief of Kathekhola Rural Municipality through left electoral alliance.


Chief Thapa secured 6, 698 while his closest rival Nepali Congress’s Hom Bahadur Hamal got 5,521 votes.

Deputy Chief Khatri of RJM backed by UML got 6,053 votes and her immediate rival NC’s Gyanu Sharma Shrees got   4,835 votes.
