With 259 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours, Nepal's COVID-19 tally crosses 21,000-mark

KATHMANDU, Aug 4: With new 259 cases of coronavirus recorded in the past 24 hours, Nepal's COVID-19 tally has risen to 21,009.

KATHMANDU, Aug 4: With new 259 cases of coronavirus recorded in the past 24 hours, Nepal's COVID-19 tally has risen to 21,009.


At a regular media briefing, spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) Jageshwar Gautam said that 259 persons were found infected with COVID-19 out of 7,687 persons who underwent PCR tests at various labs in the past 24 hours across the country.

Gautam shared that 65 persons who earlier tested positive for COVID-19 have been recovered in the past 24 hours. "With this, the COVID-19 recovery tally has reached 15026," he said. 


Gautam also said that the country's COVID-19 death toll has reached 58. According to him, there are currently 5,925 actives cases of coronavirus.
