With 464 new cases of coronavirus today, Nepal's COVID-19 tally surpasses 22,000-mark

KATHMANDU, Aug 7: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has confirmed 464 new cases of coroanvirus across the country in the past 24 hours, taking the country's COVID-19 tally to 22, 214.

KATHMANDU, Aug 7: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has confirmed 464 new cases of coroanvirus across the country in the past 24 hours, taking the country's COVID-19 tally to 22, 214.

At a virtual media briefing, spokesperson for the MoHP Jageshwar Gautam said that 464 new cases were detected during 7,926 PCR tests conducted at various labs across the country.


The Kathmandu Valley alone has recorded 106 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours, according to Gautam. Likewise, 425 COVID-19 patients were discharged after recovery in the past 24 hours. "With this, the country's COVID-19 recovery tally has risen to 15, 814," the spokesperson said.
