Yami Gautam opens up about battling keratosis pilaris

Yami Gautam, who was a poster girl for glowing skin for over a decade, had shared a post recently where she revealed she was battling a skin condition called keratosis pilaris.

Spilling some beans on penning the post, Yami told a news portal that she felt liberated after writing the post. The actress added that the journey from the time when she learned of her condition to the day she put the post out, was challenging.

Yami went on to reveal that when people saw her at the shoot, they would talk about how it should be airbrushed or concealed. That would affect her a lot. According to her, it took years to accept it and wear her confidence. The actress was also overwhelmed to see the response to the post.

On the personal front, Yami tied the knot with director Aditya Dhar earlier this year in a private ceremony in Himachal Pradesh with her family and close friends.


On the work front, she was last seen in ‘Bhoot Police’ with Arjun Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez in lead roles. The film received mixed reviews from the audience and critics alike.

Next, she will be seen in Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury’s ‘Lost’. According to the makers, the film will attempt to highlight the issue of media integrity. Apart from this, she also has ‘Dasvi’ with Abhishek Bachchan and Nimrat Kaur.
