15 more test positive for COVID-19 in Parsa district

BIRGUNJ, July 28: A test result acquired on Monday night confirmed COVID-19 in 15 more individuals in Parsa district, according to Dr Niraj Singh of Narayani COVID-19 Hospital.

BIRGUNJ, July 28: A test result acquired on Monday night confirmed COVID-19 in 15 more individuals in Parsa district, according to Dr Niraj Singh of Narayani COVID-19 Hospital.


A man each from Birgunj-4, 13 and 23, two from Birgunj-7, two men and a woman from Birgunj-11 tested positive for COVID-19.

Similarly, three laborers working in the Parsa-Bara Industrial Corridor have also tested positive for the virus. According to the District Police Office, a youth (whose permanent address is yet to be confirmed) and other two youths - one each from Kalliya Sub-Metropolitan City, Bara and Mai Municipality, Illam have contracted the virus.


As coronavirus cases soar in the area, Birgunj Metropolitan City has imposed curfew to contain the further spread of COVID-19 since Saturday. The local authorities have already begun COVID-19 testing at the public level.
