KATHMANDU, May 26: As many as 6,716 COVID-19 patients recovered on Wednesday in Nepal as the country added 6,714 new cases to its COVID-19 case tally.

The health ministry also recorded 145 deaths cases related to COVID-19 on the same day.


There are currently 101,777 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Of them, 108,620 are in home isolation, 8,457 are in institutional isolation, 1,671 in ICUs and 434 on ventilators.


According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), as many as 19,030 PCR tests and 322 antigen tests were conducted on Wednesday.


Similarly, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 1,493 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday. Of them, 113 were recorded in Bhaktapur, 241 in Lalitpur and 1,139 in Kathmandu districts.
