The police crackdown on a 'wheel strike' called by the party today saw the arrest of at least 15 cadres including party's Central Secretariat member Dinesh Sharma and Pawan Shrestha.

The party has called for immediate release of the 'innocent cadres' engaged in peaceful demonstrations by scrapping the false cases filed against them.

The police on Wednesday arrested Revolutionary Maoist central member Shiva Ram Yadav and All Revolutionary central co-Coordinator Ram Nepali including its central members Mahesh Shrestha and Dipendra Sunuwar on allegations of extortion and extended their custody after filing case at the District Court.

The strike was held today in opposition of the arrest. RSS
