BARA, March 10: Police have arrested a so-called Bara district in charge of Netra Bikram Chand-led Communist Party of Nepal (CPN).
Organizing a press meet on Monday, the Area Police Office, Simara, made public Indra Bahadur Pariyar, a resident of Hetauda Sub Metropolitan City-16, Makwanpur district.

According to DSP Govinda Puri of Area Police Office, Simara, Pariyar was arrested on the charge of setting fire to Ncell’s telecommunications towers and extorting money from factories in the Birgunj-Pathlaiya Industrial Corridor. “Pariyar has been arrested after investigating into the accusations against him,” Puri said, adding that the police investigation found that Pariyar was involved in criminal activities.
According to Puri, Pariyar was arrested from Jitpur market in Bara. “The arrested had torched an Ncell tower at Jitpur Simara Sub Metropolitan-11 and Piluwa,” said Puri.
Likewise, police also confiscated six smartphones and documents of the outfit from Pariyar. Police also impounded a motorcycle with a registration number Ba 27 Pa 1991 that Pariyar was using.
