KATHMANDU, July 18: Nepal has reported as many as 57 more cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the past 24 hours. With this, the national COVID-19 tally has reached 17,502.
A total of 3,331 real time PCR tests were conducted in 27 different labs throughout the country. As of Saturday, 311,829 PCR tests have been carried out.

Dr Jageshwar Gautam, spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, while speaking at a virtual press-briefing of the ministry, said that as many as 103 more patients recovered from this viral infection in the past 24 hours, taking the total number of recoveries to 11,637. The recovery rate in Nepal stands at 66.12 per cent, according to the ministry.
As of Saturday afternoon, there are 5,825 active cases of this disease while 13,275 people are quarantined across the country.
