KATHMANDU, May 23: After the confirmation of 36 new cases of coronavirus in various districts today afternoon, Nepal's COVID-19 tally jumped to 584, according to Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
At a regular press briefing, the spokesperson for the ministry, Bikash Devkota, said that swab samples of four males (aged between 20 and 27) from Shivanath rural municipality of Baitadi tested positive for coronavirus at Seti Hospital.

According to Devkota, the swab sample of 33-year-old male from Jhapa rural municipality of Jahapa tested positive for the coronavirus during PCR testing at Koshi Hospital lab.
Likewise, swab samples of 27 males (aged between 17 and 50) from Narainapur of Banke district tested positive for the deadly virus during PCR testing at Rapti Health Sciences Academy (RHSA). Similarly, throat swab of a 19-year-old male from Bardiya and, two males and one female from Surkhet tested positive for the virus at RHSA.
Nepal witnessed 68 COVID-19 cases today alone. Earlier today morning, the Health Ministry confirmed 32 new cases of COVID-19.
