Over 123,000 vaccinated against COVID-19 in Taplejung

TAPLEJUNG, Jan 31: Over 123,000 people have received vaccines against the novel coronavirus in Taplejung district. As many as 56,680 people have received both doses against the deadly infection, according to the Vaccine Supervisor Dinesh Rai at the District Health Office.

TAPLEJUNG, Jan 31: Over 123,000 people have received vaccines against the novel coronavirus in Taplejung district. As many as 56,680 people have received both doses against the deadly infection, according to the Vaccine Supervisor Dinesh Rai at the District Health Office.


As many as 33,350 people were administered the Vero Cell vaccine, while 17,180 people were given Covi-Shield and AstraZeneca. Similarly, 5,850 people were given the J & J vaccine, Rai said. A total of 123,227 people have been vaccinated in the district so far, he added.

Similarly, 72,667 people have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in the district. The District Vaccine Monitoring and Management Committee has also started giving booster doses to those who have already received both doses of Covishield / AstraZeneca vaccine from February 2021 to June 20 2021. The vaccine centers in Fungling Municipality-4 have already started administering booster doses to eligible citizens, according to the District Health Office.
