Police seize 345 grams of gold from Tribhuvan International Airport

KATHMANDU, Jan 25: Police on Monday arrested a man from the Tribhuvan International Airport on charge of illegally bringing gold from Qatar to Nepal.

KATHMANDU, Jan 25: Police on Monday arrested a man from the Tribhuvan International Airport on charge of illegally bringing gold from Qatar to Nepal.


According to police, Subhash Gurung, a resident of Chitwan district, has been arrested from the airport with 345 grams of yellow metal. “Gurung, with passport number 07230853, had hidden the yellow metal in diapers,” said police.

Likewise, police have also arrested Tek Bahadur Gurung, 31, a resident of Tanahu, who came to pick Gurung at the airport.


Both the arrested are in police custody for further investigation, said police. Police have sent the confiscated gold to the Customs Office at the airport.
