Renu Dahal leading her nearest rival Subedi in Bharatpur metropolis as vote counting continues

CHITWAN, May 16: The ruling five-party alliance candidate for the mayor of Bharatpur Metropolitan City Renu Dahal has continued to maintain her lead in the vote counting so far. Vote counting of Ward Number 1, 2, 3 and 4 of the metropolis has completed so far.

CHITWAN, May 16: The ruling five-party alliance candidate for the mayor of Bharatpur Metropolitan City Renu Dahal has continued to maintain her lead in the vote counting so far. Vote counting of Ward Number 1, 2, 3 and 4 of the metropolis has completed so far.

Of the total of 17,034 votes counted so far, Renu Dahal has secured 5,718 votes while her nearest rival Bijaya Subedi has secured 5,688 votes. Similarly, independent candidate Jagannath Poudel has secured 2,788 votes so far.


In the post of Deputy Mayor, Chitra Sen Adhikari of Nepali Congress has continued to maintain the lead. Adhikari has secured 6982 votes, while Himala Guring of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has received 4628 votes so far.
