KATHMANDU, Feb 11: Nepal recorded 1,128 new cases, 2,215 recoveries and 14 deaths from COVID-19 on Friday, according to the information released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 20,989 samples were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, 666 PCR and 462 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the deadly virus.

There are currently 27,683 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 26,450 are in home isolation, 991 in institutional isolation, 206 in ICU’s and 36 on ventilators. Similarly, 109 are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,878 people have died from the virus across the country.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 265 cases of COVID-19 on Friday. Of them, 203 cases were recorded in Kathmandu, 17 in Bhaktapur and 45 in Lalitpur districts.
