KATHMANDU, Feb 17: Nepal recorded 437 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday, along with 2,454 recoveries and two deaths, according to the latest information provided by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 9,091 swab samples (including RDT antigen data received through SMS & Email) were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, 275 PCR and 162 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the deadly virus.

There are currently 14,602 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 13,828 are in self-isolation, 607 in institutional isolation, 144 in ICUs, and 23 on ventilators. Similarly, 109 people are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,913 people have died of the viral infection across the country.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley alone recorded 89 cases of the virus on Friday. Of them, 68 were recorded in Kathmandu, two in Bhaktapur, and 19 in Lalitpur districts.
