KATHMANDU, July 23: Nepal recorded 2,977 new cases of COVID-19 along with 1,678 recoveries and 18 deaths on Friday.
According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 13,698 PCR tests and 3,610 antigen tests were conducted on Friday. Of them, 1,982 PCR tests and 995 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the COVID-19.

So far, 9,679 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in Nepal.
There are a total of 24,183 COVID-19 patients in home isolations, 2,678 in institutional isolations, 682 in ICUs and 175 on ventilators as of Friday afternoon.
Likewise, Kathmandu valley recorded 613 cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 410 new cases were recorded in Kathmandu, 69 in Bhaktapur and 134 in Lalitpur districts.
