KATHMANDU, July 30: Nepal recorded 3,611 new cases of COVID-19 including 1,816 recoveries and 27 deaths on Friday.
According to the latest data of the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), as many as 9,783 PCR tests and 4,878 antigen tests were conducted on Friday. Of them, 2,467 PCR tests and 1,144 antigen tests turned out to be positive for COVID-19.

Similarly, 27 individuals succumbed to COVID-19 in the country on Friday. With this, Nepal’s COVID-19 death toll has reached 9,834.
There are currently 27,820 COVID-19 patients in home isolation, 3,194 in institutional isolation, 686 in ICUs and 161 on ventilators as of Friday afternoon, according to the health ministry.
Likewise, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 819 new cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 556 were detected in Kathmandu, 76 in Bhaktapur and 187 in Lalitpur districts.
